Shaw Forest Park, West Swindon
Take the opportunity to enhance the existing landscape of Shaw Forest Park by planting your own tree to help the forest grow well into the future.
To celebrate National Tree Week, the Great Western Community Forest, with support from Swindon Borough Council has 3000 trees to plant as part of the ongoing development of this key location in Swindon. The new woodland will extend the existing young woodland and eventually become part of the new Forest Park. We invite all members of the community and your family and friends to come and plant your tree for free.
Promising to be a feast of fun for all the family there will be plenty of activities for everyone. Parents and children will be encourged to join in with the many workshops, exhibitions and demonstrations being helf on-site. Street performers will keep you entertained and there is a distinct festive feel to the whole day. Local school children have been invited to sing Christmas carols and there will be a special visit from Santa Claus to make sure this day is special for everyone.
