The Lib Dem's obsession with opportunist policy has taken a sinister twist as they try to push for yet further liberal stance on drugs.
The opportunist Lib Dem's latest attempt to out step Labour has reached disgraceful levels. Following Labours move to soften the stance on Cannabis, the Lib Dems are now calling for a similar move on Ecstasy.
Councillor Justin Tomlinson condems the Lib Dem's, 'The Liberal Democrats obsession with opportunist policy has taken a sinister twist as they try to push for yet further liberal stance on drugs.
Ecstasy is popular among the young, especially in social surroundings such as in nightclubs. It is often viewed by it users as a 'safe' designer drug, but experts make no secret of the fact that Ecstasy is both an extremely dangerous drug, and a stepping stone on to yet further 'harder' drugs.
The law abiding majority, not the criminal minority need to be put first, and that means toughening the law against drug dealers, and increasing the numbers of policeman so drug dealing can be tackled on the front line. In no way is softening the stance on Ecstasy going to help protect people from the dangers of drugs, shame on the Liberal Democrats.'
