At present feedback from residents and Council Planning Officers have been passed onto the developers who have made numerous alterations to the plans. Final plans are still waiting to be submitted to the Council for a final decision that would be made at a Planning Meeting.
Recently Cllr Justin Tomlinson & Cllr Owen Lister joined local residents who had been in contact directly with the developers in a site visit. The meeting took place at McDonalds & KFC (Greenbridge), and at the proposed site in Ash Brake. The purpose of this meeting was for certain specific questions which had been raised by the local residents to be addressed. Isues such as: the proposed siting, traffic numbers, air filtration systems, opening times etc were all discussed. The meeting was constructive and helped clarify certain areas, at the very least the developers have shown the courtesy of discussing issues with local residents. It was then agreed that a further meeting would be arranged to allow a larger group of local residents to be involved in the process, further details of this meeting will be posted once confirmed.
Working with the Ash Brake Residents Association, once final plans have been submitted we will make sure all local residents are aware of the implications and the future action that we can take.
The proposed site is an over development of the Ash Brake area, and we will continue to do all we can to support the local residents.
