National Archaeology Day - Groundwell Ridge

Sunday 21 July 2002 - 11am to 4pm

Archaeological investigation continues at the Groundwell Ridge site in Abbey Meads.

At Abbey Meads Primary School recent results will be on display, alongside artefacts from the excavations, with informations about the site and fun children's activities.  On site, English Heritage Survey staff will be demonstrating some of the techniques - including Ground Penetrating Radar - which are being used to discover the layout of this intriguing arhaeological mystery.

Due to restrictions on numbers and limited parking, tickets for the free visits must be booked by phone on 01793 466558 or in person at Swindon Museam.
