Residents To Be Involved In Roman Ruins Task Group

Roman

After pressure from the Abbey Meads Conservatives, the Council has agreed to set up a Task Group to look into the future options for the Roman Complex site, situated between Ash Brake and St. Andrews Ridge.  Councillor Owen Lister was successful at getting the go ahead for the Task Group, after repeatadly requesting one at Full Council.

At the first meeting of the Task Group, Councillor Justin Tomlinson was successful in getting the task group to agree to allow representation from the local residents at future meetings.

Justin

'I felt it was crucial for the residents to be represented at the Task Group.  Important decisions on the future of the site will be made and discussed, and it is the local residents who will be directly effected by any future development of this project.  By having representation from the local residents, it will make sure any local concerns or issues will be considered.'

Having consultated with the Ash Brakes residents Chairman Jon Booth, it was agreed that
Roger Arnold will be the representative at future meetings.
Roger has been actively involved in many local campaigns, including the McDonalds campaign.

Any further news / developments will be posted on this site as soon as they occur.
