Local resident Kenny Gilbertson, 17, is looking for sponsorship to help fufill his dream of making it to the very top in the world motorcycle racing.
Despite only sitting on a full size motorcycle last January he has already shown enough promise to be signed up by a team managed by S/S Motor Cycle Tuning of Nottingham. Now he is out every weekend either practising, racing or attending feedback sessions.
He is currently racing on an Aprilla 125cc and will also be getting experience on a Yamaha 600cc R6 ready to race at a higher level in 2004.
Whilst the team provides and maintains the bikes, Kenny still needs to find sponsorship to keep it on track - £16 000 next year - and is appealing to local businesses or any individuals who might be able to help.
