The Liberals are trying to replace the Council Tax with a Local Income Tax.

With a 8% Local & Regional Income Tax, a typical two-earner household could face a bill of £2912 a year!!!

The Conservatives will fight these unacceptable plans. 

Labour's 32% Council Tax in 2 years is bad enough without the Liberals doubling the bills overnight. 

The Conservatives understand the need for fair and affordable Council Tax, not gimmicks.  Like any family we believe the Council should be looking to balance the books, and concentrating on real priorities not pipe dreams.

The Liberals are determined to spend, spend and spend, and they need huge tax rises to fund their plans for; compulsary sex education for seven year olds, banning children from owning pets, giving prisoners the right to vote, burgulars not being sent to prison, increased red tape and Government interferance, surrending Government powers to the EU and scrapping the monarchy and the Pound. 

Frankly the Liberals should be ashamed of themselves, they are nothing more than a wasted vote.
