Abbey Meads Conservative Councillors recently conducted a residents survey, asking the question:
Swindon's Council Tax has risen by 32% in just two years under Labour.
Do you think you get good value for money for the taxes you pay?
0% Yes - these Council Tax rises were justified and represent good value for money.
92% No - these Council Tax rises were unacceptable and do not represent good value for money.
8% Unsure
The message is clear, local residents are fed up with Labour's Council unacceptable Council Tax hikes.
Labour and their Liberal chums continue to 'spend, spend, spend...', which could result in another wallet busting Council Tax hike.
Conservative Councillors are working extremely hard to drive down Council Tax. The Council must become more efficient, and we must look carefully at all areas of expenditure. For Labour and their Liberal chums to keep clocking up the spending is unacceptable, people simply can not afford yet another Council Tax hike.
Abbey Meads Conservative Councillors Justin Tomlinson, Owen Lister & Peter Stoddart will be voting against any Labour or Liberal plans to hike up the Council Tax.
