I was delighted to 'drop the puck' to officially launch the new Ice Hockey season, for Swindon npower Wildcats. (I even made it onto the ice and back without falling over - phew!) At the end of the match I also presented my man of the match to Alan Armour (Swindon) and Adam Leaver (Blackburn)
The match was extremely exciting, with Swindon npower Wildcats beating Blackburn Hawks 4-2. There was also an exhibition game played during the 2nd break, between two sets of Under 10's, giving the fans a chance to see the future stars in action.
Swindon npower Wildcats have worked extremely hard to promote the club, and they were rewarded with a bumper crowd who cheered Swindon onto victory, despite falling behind to an early Blackburn goal.
