I have been contacted by lots of local residents from the Ash Brake area regarding:
I have passed all this information onto the graffiti cleaning teams, and some of the graffiti has already been removed.
I arranged for a visit with the grounds maintaince people from Swindon Services, and most of the overgrowth has not been cut back. This will make a huge difference to the area.
The roundabout had been left in a dreadful state following the recent local construction work. I had asked for this to be returned to its original state. For now, it has been grassed over, as contractors may need to access some of the pipes beneath the roundabout in the near future and the grass can be easily replaced.
Please do not hesitate to pass on any local issues to either myself, Cllr Lister or Cllr Stoddart. We are always happy to help!
"Just a quick e-mail to say thank you very much for getting progress with tidying up the area. I walked down to Asda earlier and it was the first time for a long time that we weren't in peril of being hit in the face by stray foliage! It is also really good to see, at long last, something starting to happen with the roundabout. Thank you so much for getting things moving on this. Talking to some of the other residents today they are really impressed with all the work that is going on as well. It makes such a difference!
It really is good to know that we have a councillor who really is concerned about and acts on behalf of the people in his area."
