15/03/05 - Blunsdon By-Pass Scheme

As plans for the proposed Blunsdon By-Pass scheme are being displayed to the public, many local residents have raised concerns.

Abbey Meads wards Councillors Justin Tomlinson, Peter Stoddart and Owen Lister have requested an urgent meeting with the Highways Agency to go through these concerns.  (Thursday 17th March)

The main concern of local residents is the proposed changes to the Turnpike Junction.  For examplefor those who wish to ultimately join the M4, via the A419, the journey could be increased by 1.7km, as you would initially have to head towards Cirencester.

If you have any further concerns that you wish us to discuss with the Highways Agency, please do not hesiate to let us know.
