Ticketing changes
Urban buses to be exact fare only.
Service 15 St Andrews Ridge Haydon Wick Wood Hall Northern Road Town Centre New College Park South Hospital
Service to run only between St Andrews Ridge and Town Centre. Town Centre to Hospital section transferred to Service 19 (see below).
POSITIVE service frequency increased to every 15 minutes (was every 20 minutes). Particularly helpful in the peak period, as buses have been overloading.
NEGATIVE loss of through service to New College and the Hospital.
NEW! Service 18 Haydon Wick Redhouse Oakhurst - Taw Hill Mead Way Bridgemead Town Centre
Half hourly service 0700 to 1830, replacing Service 19 (except evenings and Sundays).
POSITIVE much quicker journey times between North Swindon and Town Centre. Makes the journey more attractive for the majority of passengers.
NEGATIVE loss of direct service between North Swindon and West Swindon. The few passengers currently making this journey will have to change at the Outlet Village.
Service 19 Haydon Wick Redhouse Oakhurst Taw Hill Sparcells West Swindon Centre - Mead Way Bridgemead - Town Centre
Daytime Service revised to run Sparcells West Swindon Centre Mead Way Westlea Town Centre New College Park South - Hospital. Service increased to every 20 minutes (was every 30 minutes). Evening and Sunday service unchanged except service runs via Westlea instead of Bridgemead
POSITIVE significantly improved service for Sparcells, Peatmoor, Nine Elms, Shaw and Eastleaze. Through service to the Hospital from West Swindon restored. More buses in Westlea
NEGATIVE Loss of evening/Sunday service to Bridgemead
Service 24 Broad Blunsdon Blunsdon St Andrew St Andrews Ridge Haydon Wick Greenmeadow Pinehurst Town Centre (Swindon Borough Council contract)
Service to be withdrawn from Blunsdon St Andrew and St Andrews Ridge. Blunsdon St Andrew to be served by one return journey (Mondays to Fridays) on Service 52. St Andrews Ridge to have improved Service 15. Service for Groundwell East.
POSITIVE quicker and more reliable service for Broad Blunsdon. Service for Groundwell East.
NEGATIVE significantly reduced service for Blunsdon St Andrew but only an average of 5 passengers in each direction per day. Prospect of a new service in the Bridlewood area, in the not too-distant future.
Service 40 Town Centre Kembrey Park Groundwell (peak period service)
Service withdrawn. Replaced by journeys on Service 52.
