The British Heart Foundation is urging Swindon residents to hunt through their homes for much needed donations.
The BHF Shop in Havelock Street is urgently appealing to members of the community for donations of good quality clothing, accessories, handbags, shoes, books, records, DVDs, CDs and bric-a-brac.
All of these items are among BHF Shops' most-wanted goods and proceeds from their sale help raise vital funds for the BHF.
Ken Blair, Chief Executive of the foundation's shops, said: "We're urging Swindon residents to join the hunt for our most-wanted donation items, in return for the reward of saving lives.
"By rummaging through their homes for good quality items to donate to their local BHF Shop.
"People can make a real difference and show their support of the BHF in its fight against heart disease."
The shop is now offering a free collection of unwanted goods.
To donate goods, call into the shop or telephone on: 01793 431070.
The shops are also in need of volunteers and can offer a range of volunteering opportunities, including stock sorting and pricing, window dressing and sales assistance.
Councillor Justin Tomlinson, "My family has a history of heart disease, so I have always tried to support the British Heart Foundation with donations. I hope local residents can join me in having a belated 'spring clean' to help this worthy cause."
