Why can't we have the info?
Evening Advertiser Letters Page 11/08/05
Mrs Lyn Hill-Tout's memory is clearly conveniently short. Only a matter of a few months ago she told a meeting of councillors that she preferred to talk about waiting lists in terms of weeks of waiting rather than numbers of patients waiting.
Despite her apparent upset over this matter it is not without significance that she has still failed to state what the admission waiting list is at the present time.
If the information is available at board meetings which are open to the public, why cannot this highly significant piece of information be made available to the press so that the public can be properly informed about this very significant matter.
So far as the hospital bed issue is concerned, I am not aware that there has been any public debate regarding this important matter.
The facts are as I have stated and working out the implications is not rocket science.
Long waiting lists mean that someone may have to wait too long.
