A Day Out With Thomas
Everyones favourite steam engine, Thomas the Tank Engine, will be at STEAM Museum of the Great Western Railway, Swindon, on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 October.
Thomas will be bringing along his friend Toad the Brake Van and will be giving rides, while Sir Topham Hatt, The Fat Controller (played by actor Mark Hyde), will be checking to make sure that Thomas is behaving himself and that the Museum is running smoothly. Sir Topham will also be telling stories about Thomas and his friends regularly throughout the weekend.
Other features for this special family day out will include a bouncy castle, craft activities and face painting, as well as all the great hands-on Museum displays such as bridge building, wagon shunting and the train-driving simulator.
Cllr Justin Tomlinson, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Culture and Recreation, says: Day out with Thomas at STEAM is a marvellous event for the whole family. Theres lots to do and see, including rides behind Thomas the Tank Engine, so no visitor will go away disappointed.
Admission to A Day out with Thomas: Under 3s go free; Adults - £6.60 each; Children - £4.20 each; Senior Citizens - £4.30 each; Family Tickets - £16.00 (Two adults and two children), £19.00 (Two adults and three children). Train rides behind Thomas are £2.00 each for adults and £1.00 each for all children.
