Cllr Tomlinson With Local Residents At The Ash Brake Site
With the Ember Inn planning application coming to Council on Tuesday, local residents have given a cautious welcome to the plans.
Working with local residents we have successfully defeated the inappropriate previous application for a KFC and McDonalds.
One major concern for the local community are the ridiculous plans to prevent children under 14 from using the Ember Inn. The Ash Brake residential area has an extremely high proportion of young families who therefore be unable to use the facility. Not only is this commercial madness, but is a real blow for many local residents.
I have been in direct contact with the developers, who have so far refused to budge. I have passed this information to the Swindon Advertiser, and requested the developers rethink and respond to me on Monday.
