Recycling Boxes
In recent weeks I have spoken to many residents in relation to recycling. The Abbey Meads ward is currently part of the fortnightly kerbside recycling collection. For information on your roads collection, please either call 463463 or log onto www.swindon.gov.uk/householdwaste
Residents who move into a house often discover the previous owners have taken the recycling box, if this is the case please call 463463 and request a free box.
If you already have a recycling box and would like an additional box, they can either be purchased at Waterside for £4, or you can call 463463 and they be purchased over the phone, and delivered to your house for £5.
Following the successful trial of weekly kerbside recycling in West Swindon, I will be supporting plans to extend this across the rest of Swindon over the next few years.
I have also called for a plastic bottle recycling bank at the Northern Orbital shopping centre, and I am hopeful this will be in place in the coming months.
