I am delighted to confirm that a 'Plastic Bottle Bank' has been placed at the North Swindon District Centre.
Having been contacted by local residents, I promised to chase this, and I was quickly able to secure this additional recycling facility.
Promise 49 of the 'Swindon 2010, 50 Promises' document pledges that 50% of household waste will be recycled by 2010. To support this pledge we are spending an additional 390 000 in 06/07 to further extend recycling facilities.
Conservative Councils recycle more than Labour and Lib Dem Councils.
