13/02/07 - Cllr Stoddart Welcomes Leisure Improvements

 
Cllr Peter Stoddart has welcome the continued improvement in Swindon Council's leisure facilities.
 
Since we took control of the Council in 2004, prices have kept inline with inflation. 
 
We have rightly invested £millions into improving our facilities including:
 
  • New slide, 77m indoor slide (Lagoon Falls), refurbished gym & a new cafe at the Oasis
  • 3 x 5-a-side pitches, improved ice-rink facilities, extended climbing wall & a new cafe at the Link
  • New fitness room at the Haydon Centre
  • Refurbished changing rooms across our centres

    We have also been working extremely hard on the plans to refurbish or rebuild the much loved Link and Oasis centres.
