Project: Major Roads Carriageway Resurfacing (Contract 2)
Tadpole Lane (From new roundabout towards Blunsdon)
I write to inform you of the above project that is anticipated to commence on Sunday 1st April 2007, weather permitting, and is programmed to take approximately 3 days (09.30-15.30) to complete.
Elements of the project are planing, resurfacing and relining the carriageway.
Advance warning signs on site will be erected forewarning motorists prior to commencement, and adjacent residents / businesses will be informed by letter.
Access for residents, business and emergency services will be maintained at all times.
The carriageway will not be closed during the works, but lane closures will allow works to proceed.
The purpose of the scheme is to replace the deteriorating surface course of the roads in order to increase the lifespan of the carriageway and to provide a safer and better running surface for road users.
The specialist surfacing contractor for this scheme will be Swindon Commercial Services with supervision by the Civil and Structural Engineering Group.
