11/01/08 - Public House / Restaurant & Hotel Application Granted

Theupdated planning application came to Swindon Council's planning meeting on Tuesday 8th January for the erection of a Public House / Restaurant & 102 Bedroom Hotel on land at Turnpike Roundabout (former Motorola land), Thamesdown Drive.

This application was APPROVED.

The design will reflect the industrial nature of the adjacent buildings by borrowing design from both Motorola & David Lloyd.

The Public House / Restaurant will be a Harvester, as part of the Mitchell & Butler chain. (Who also own the Toby Carvery& Blunsdon Arms both also in the Abbey Meads ward). The hotel will be the Days Inn.
