Thamesdown Transport Service Changes 27th May 2008

Service 1 No change

Service 1A No longer serves Coleview or Stratton Park (see new service 23). All journeys now routed via Nythe and Covingham.

Service 10 Service withdrawn. Section of route between Okus and Fleming Way transferred to new service 23. Section of route between Fleming Way and Penhill becomes route 21 with reduced frequency.

Service 11 No longer serves Lawn, Coate Water or Great Western Hospital (see revised service 19). Service 11 now operates from Haydon Wick to Fleming Way (as at present) then via Croft Campus, Wroughton Park and Ride to East Wichel.

Services 12/13/14 Minor timetable changes

Service 15 Diverted to serve Haydon End (Torun Way). Section of route between Abbey Meads Village Centre and St. Andrews Ridge incorporated into revised service 24.

Service 16 Minor timetable changes. The Monday to Friday daytime service now operates on a Commercial basis.

Service 17 Minor timetable changes

Service 18 Revised to operate every 20 minutes and now serves Sparcells (Gairlock Close) in place of service 19.

Service 19 Revised route to operate from Peatmoor and Shaw to Great Western Hospital via Link Centre, Outlet Village, Old Town and Lawn (replacing service 11). Evening service only extends to Sparcells, Taw Hill, Oakhurst and Haydon Wick. The daytime link between Peatmoor and Sparcells is withdrawn.

Service 20/21 Completely reorganised. Revised service 20 now operates from Swindon Bus Station to Great Western Hospital via Gorse Hill, Kingsdown, Lower Stratton, Covingham, Eldene and Liden. The circular element of services 20 and 21 is lost. The current link from Park to Great Western Hospital is incorporated into revised service 24; the link from Walcot to Great Western Hospital, although poorly supported by passengers, becomes new supported service 30.

Service 20B New service, one peak journey per day each way, from Greenbridge to Swindon Bus Station via Covingham, Eldene, Liden and Croft Campus.

Service 21 New service, hourly daytime, between Fleming Way and Penhill, replacing part of service 10.

Services 22/25 Minor timetable changes.

Service 23 New service between Okus and Stratton Park, replacing part of service 10 and part of service 1A. 30 minute frequency.

Service 24 Revised to operate between Blunsdon and Great Western Hospital via St. Andrews Ridge (replacing service 15) via Ash Brake, Haydon Wick, Pinehurst, Fleming Way and Park. Ash Brake (Pennine Way) bus-served for the first time. The section of route between Fleming Way and Great Western Hospital will be operated commercially.

Service 26 Revised to operate between Fleming Way and Rodbourne only. Section of route between Rodbourne and Blunsdon Abbey withdrawn because of poor passenger patronage.

Service 27 No change

Service 28 Renumbered from service 52

Service 29 No change

Service 30 New, experimental hourly off peak service between Fleming Way and Great Western Hospital via Walcot East, replacing past of former services 20/21. Passenger numbers will be evaluated prior to decisions being taken on the viability of the service,

Service 52 Now renumbered 28

Service 80 Withdrawn.
