We have just been advised that the long awaited bus route between the two separate sections of Queen Elizabeth Drive is unlikely to happen this side of Christmas owing to access issues between the Clifford Estate and North Swindon Development Company.
The Clifford Estate are maintaining that they have a right to take cattle at all times along the former Haydon End Lane. As such if this access is severed (even though Haydon End Farm is no longer occupied), the Clifford Estate may take legal action. Here the people of Priory Vale are victim to a ransom being imposed by the Clifford Estate which is preventing a planning permission from being fully implemented and holding up much awaited bus service and links to Taw Hill village centre. I will continue to apply pressure for this much needed link to be completed.
