19/02/09 - Have Your Say On School Catchment Area Consultation

School catchments areas and admissions are being reviewed in Swindon and residents can have their say at a series of drop-in sessions from next week.

Swindon Borough Council has organised various drop-in sessions, starting at 6pm on the following dates:

•       February 24     Nova Hreod School in Akers Way, Swindon
•       February 26     Kingsdown School in Hyde Road, Swindon

The review options (in brief) are:

• Retaining existing catchment areas as they are
• Amending individual catchment areas
• Removing catchment areas
• The Council is also reviewing promoting siblings with the oversubscription criteria
