I am delighted to report that the physical activity rates continue to improve in Swindon, exceeding the the target of a 1% annual increase.
In addition the usage figures for the Swindon Council leisure centres has increased.
Since we took control of Swindon Borough Council in 2004 we have made leisure one of our key priorities with a number of improvements:
Cllr Justin Tomlinson, "As the Lead Member for Leisure & Recreation for 4 years I was proud to lead our investment in leisure facilities and opportunities for fellow residents. Whether it is organised sport at the various leisure sites, or improving our local parks and open spaces it is essential we do all we can to provide greater opportunities for local residents to get active.''
