Swindon Council operates a 'Scores on Doors' initiative, where food businesses are awarded stars showing how well they comply with food safety legislation.

Cllr Justin Tomlinson, "This is an extremely useful resource as you can search any of the Swindon restaurants at a click of a button. In addition with the restaurants knowing their ratings are made public, they have a real incentive to drive up standards."
