Work on the exciting plans for Mouldon Hill are set to begin, split over 3 phases.
Phase 1 will see landscaping, creation of a car park and junior football pitches. Phase 2 will provide a compacted stone path to create a circular route around the park, with additional areas of woodland planted in Winter 2010. For Phase 3 we are in negotiations to secure community facilities, which could include a play area.
These plans have been shaped by local residents with the landscapers taking into account all the feedback from the public meeting I organised, plus the responses to our 2009 resident survey. Thank you for your feedback and suggestion, they really have made a difference. In particular the improvements are such that the character of our hidden gem remains the same, through the additional planting, the use of natural crushed stone for the footpaths and fencing constructed from wood. In addition there will be extensive hydrological and ecological work carried out to maintain the natural habitat and water environment.
