Abbey Meads Conservative Councillors will be attending a public exhibition about the proposed Aldi store at the eastern end of Thamesdown Drive.
The event takes place on Monday 17 May at Abbey Meads Community School between 3pm and 7pm.
Councillor Peter Heaton-Jones said, “Cllr Vera Tomlinsonand I will be on hand to listen to all the feedback from local residents. It's important that we gather as many views as possible so that we can feed them back to the planning authority. This ispart of the Conservative pledge to give more say to local people about these sort of developments. Please take up this opportunity to haveyour say.”
Justin Tomlinson, MP for North Swindon, said, “I am delighted that Aldi have agreed to hold this public consultation ahead of the potential planning application. Please do make sure you let the Councillors on hand know your thoughts, suggestions and concerns – this way the plans can be shaped to reflect our local community. That said, I am disappointed that the developers have given such short notice which will limit the opportunity for fellow local residents to give their feedback.”
