There was perfect weather for the fete, which raised more than £600 for school funds. Attractions included stalls, competitions, a penalty shoot-out and even a chance to throw wet sponges at teachers!
Cllr Vera Tomlinson said, "It was a really enjoyable afternoon. I was put in charge of the 'bucket drop' game,
and I'm delighted that we took £72 on that alone. Bridlewood is a great school, and I know the money will be
put to good use".
Cllr Peter Heaton-Jones said, "So many parents, teachers, children and friends had obviously put in so much work, so it's great news that the event was such a success. I didn't win anything on any of the stalls, but the seedlings I bought from the plant stall are now thriving! Well done to everyone involved".
