Work is now well underway on the next phase of improvements to Mouldon Hill Country Park.
A circular trail is being made, including the former canal towpath, allowing visitors to walk from the new car park right around the site.
Abbey Meads ward councillor Vera Tomlinson, who fought for extra money for the country park, said, “I’m delighted that yet more improvements are being made allowing visitors to enjoy the beautiful lake, woods and countryside.
"When the Swindon & Cricklade Railway is extended into the park, it really will be a visitor attraction we can be proud of in North Swindon”.
The work is expected to be finished by mid-September. Maps and information boards have been posted around the site to give visitors more details.
