31/07/11 - Tadpole Farm Plans Due 'By The Autumn'

Developers Crest Nicholson are expected to submit a formal planning application for the Tadpole Farm site this autumn.

Their proposals will include around 1700 houses, as well as open spaces and community facilities.

Abbey Meads ward councillor Peter Heaton-Jones said, “Unless Crest have made big improvements on the plans they showed us earlier this year, I’ll be opposing their application.

"The development will have too big an impact on existing communities, particularly in terms of traffic and infrastructure.

"The interests of Abbey Meads residents must come first, no excuses”.

Crest Nicholson have said they are planning to consult with the community again.  There will also be a period of statotory public consultation once the planning application has been formally submitted.
